Tesla Motors, Model S 2011 Electric Car

I’m a big fans of Tesla Motors and its plan to build long-range plug-in electric cars with performance that matches or exceeds that of most sports cars. So we’re naturally very excited about Tesla’s anticipated Model S sedan, due for release as a 2011 model.

The Model S will extend Tesla’s thinking into a vehicle that can accommodate four adults at a much lower price point than that of Tesla’s currently available Roadster. You can get a better sense of the Model S through the video below, which features Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen and Tesla Chairman, Product Architect, and CEO Elon Musk.
MSRP $49’000.00 for this electric Car.

Earth in a Bottle (Biosphere 1 & 2)

Simple as this:

Biosphere 1 is Earth.  Biosphere 2 is this Man & Woman made Eco System below.  Four Men and Four Woman lived in it for 2 years back in 1991. In some people’s minds, Biosphere 2 was a fabulously expensive failure, a $200 million earth-in-a-bottle that choked on carbon dioxide and was overrun by ants. Of course not everybody feels that way today. Check out the link for more info:  http://www.b2science.org/

The Great Firewall of China (India is No Better!)

These countries are great at repressing news!  And as people and as business employees and operators we need the facts of life!  Reports call it The Great Firewall because any media these countries want to ban they just turn on their firewall.

Only problem is that Social Media is changing the landscape. .. and shifting the balance of power!

These Countries run on these set of Observations to prevent news from leaking.

  • Mostly Comes from the Outside Worlds
  • Media is produced by Professionals
  • Sparse Chunks (thinly scattered or distributed)
  • Comes in Slowly

Now Twitter, Facebook and the rest are changing this.  We know things as they are happening by following Hash’s and other Feeds.  These countries are having problems stopping it because of these reasons:

  • New is produced locally (Smart Phones, iPhones, Blackberry Videos etc.)
  • It’s done my Amateurs (You and Me, anyone who has a camera or phone)
  • There is always a huge abundance of information (Thousands of Feeds: Iran Elections for example)
  • It’s Quick!  Seconds…

The people don’t win yet.  China just shut down Twitter for several days during the anniversary of Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 culminating in the Tiananmen Square massacre.

I hope the day comes when the People of India and China can simply convey there true thoughts to their elected officials like Americans now can. http://my.barackobama.com/
The Audience can talk back and they can talk to each other.  People and organizations have to change in the way they communicate.

Success to Failure, Syndrome (8 Principles to get you there & keep you there)

Here’s a quick snapshot of what we usually see success as… A ladder to getting to our goal or vision.

What about staying there… Those lucky enough to make it there, should also look at ensuring they stay there!  I’ll right about goal setting in another post.  Just remember when we look at the steps of getting to success that it’s a vision that is continuous like a circle, not just steps…

Success

Success Continuous Journey

The Eight Principles of Success

  1. Passion
  2. Work
  3. Focus
  4. Push
  5. Ideas
  6. Improve
  7. Serve

Richard St. John knew how he had found success and how he lost it. A self-described average guy said he  found success doing what he loved, then he spent more than a decade researching the lessons of success — and distilling them into 8 words, 3 minutes video and one successful book.  Find out the insight he gained from his500 interviews of successful people.

The resulting book, Spike’s Guide to Success: Stupid, Ugly, Unlucky and RICH, has spawned a new avenue of success for St. John as a motivational speaker and talk-show star. His newest book is 8 to Be Great: The 8 Traits that Lead to Great Success.

“It’s so great. It’s such a boost of confidence. This book really gives you a lot of self-esteem about who you are, and that you really can be somebody.”
